About Me

Hello and thanks for visiting my professional website. I am a non-profit professional with nearly five years of post-collegiate experience working in small to medium non-profits in three different cities. I have worked on a variety of projects from grant writing and development to structural reorganization to direct service. I enjoy working for organizations that seek to make the world a better place and I personally excel and helping to make those organizations work better and run smoother. I am currently the Campaign Coordinator at the Employment Justice Center where I spend my time organizing workers, coalitions and working on our communications.

I am also a freelance writer with several publications and mixed media artist. Most  recently I work on the “This Place Has A Voice” Canal Park project funded by the DC Humanities Council. I am also the founder and creative mind behind the wellexaminedlife.com. On that site I have a variety of my creative projects including multiple photo galleries, more recent writing, several interview series and original music. While I am currently employed full-time, I am always looking for more freelance projects. For more information about my professional background please visit my overview here. Feel free to e-mail me at aarongoggans@gmail.com for any questions or job opportunities.
